3 Steps to Pouty Summer Lips

Step 1: Exfoliate!! Every lipstick will look that much better when you factor lip exfoliation into your lip routine. Check out our previous blog on Sara Happ Lip Scrub, which is still to this day a must-have on my beauty counter.

Step 2: Line your lips. Don't just use any lip liner, use an invisible liner. Lipstick Queen has an Invisible Liner which I found to be my favorite over other invisible liners. Invisible liners are great to use because they go with any shade of lipstick, you can never go wrong. Picking out the perfect color of liner for your skin tone or a specific lipstick is yesterday's news. Say goodbye to lipstick that bleeds and feathers. Lips will look more defined and color stays put, a lip liner that truly works wonders.

Step 3: Apply a wild, hot pink or a kick-ass red lipstick and live a little!

Happy National Lipstick Day!

GLAMGLOW Product Review

 GLAMGLOW GLAMGLOW

Before i start raving about this fantastic cult-fave mud mask i would like to start by saying thanks GLAMGLOW for finally delivering extreme hydration to my annoying, stubborn, hard to impress dry skin. This summer, I've been beachin' it a lot  causing my skin to feel dehydrated and tight. Trying a few different products here and there I finally came by GLAMGLOW Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment and LOVED it! It really treated my dry skin and now it feels so much lighter and moisturized. One of the cool things about this mud mask is that you can leave it on for as long as you like and then just wipe it off. So while I was organizing my closet, my skin was softly tingling, hydrating, and felt so nice and cool and the results were even better. I know understand why they used glow in the name because without a doubt my skin is that much more "glowy." An awesome tip GLAMGLOW gives is applying the ThirstyMud before a flight and take it off upon your arrival so your skin stays hydrated. This is definitely a tip I will use in a few weeks for my end-of-summer trip because i get ridiculously, uncomfortably dry thousands of feet up in the air. Ladies you should also keep a close eye on your ThirstyMud mask because guys are known to steal a little  for a post-shave treatment to restore their skin (trust me it happened to me last night with my friend). So all in all, GLAMGLOW is TheBeautyHaulic approved 100% and i will definitely be trying the other masks when my skin decides to act up on in weird ways like it normally does. Stay hydrated this summer beauty lovers :)

You can find GLAMGLOW here and with any GLAMGLOW purchase you will receive a free GLAMGLOW sample while supplies last.

9 Things to Stop Doing to Your Hair

9 Things to STOP Doing to Your Hair

  1. Brushing wet hair |  you want to comb wet hair & brush dry hair. If you really like using a brush then i would suggest The Wet Brush.
  2. Tying your hair into a ponytail in the same spot | if you wear your hair in a ponytail a lot, change up where your ponytail sits to prevent breakage and balding.
  3. Over processing hair and not treating | though processing hair should be kept to a minimum, if you just can't help yourself then don't forget to treat your hair. Use a mask a few times a week and use appropriate hair products.
  4. Overheating | we all love our hair tools and for the most part use them on a daily basis. Do NOT skip the heat protection step. A great heat protector is so important to keep your hair from getting damaged and fried.
  5. Brushing hair too much | according to Marcia Brady, 100 strokes a day will keep your hair nice and shiny. WRONG! 100 brush strokes is wayyy overdoing it and will 100% cause hair damage.
  6. Washing hair everyday | keep hair washing to about every other day if you urgently have to wash your hair. Otherwise, a dry shampoo will do the trick for in between washes. My favorite dry shampoo, which I find works best for me is the Klorane Dry Shampoo for Oily Hair.
  7. Using old styling tools | this can be very dangerous and just plain gross! If you've had a styling tool for quite sometime and you notice its not doing the trick or starts to smell weird..replace it ASAP. Also, maintaining and cleaning tools is so important because of all the germs that get on flat irons, dryers, etc.
  8. Brutal hair ties | use softer hair ties that don't have the metal or hair ties that just feel hard.
  9. Brushing from roots to end | when brushing hair always start at the ends and work your way up to the root to prevent breakage and an easier way to get knots out.
