Leonor Greyl a luxury French line that makes hair healthy and glamorous using only natural products. One of their top selling products, Huile de Palme will be getting a makeover. My first thought was why change something that does so well and is incredible for hair? Well the answer is that obtaining Palm Oil has been harming the environment. The love and respect Leonor Greyl has for the environment is fundamental to their philosophy since they started the brand in 1979. Since Leonor Greyl could not continue associating their company with such a serious environmental issue, they have concocted and alternative to this oil. From Huile de Palme to Huile de Leonor Greyl, this oil has replaced Palm Oil with Copra and Mongongo Oils. Huile de Leonor Greyl is identical to the Palme same fragrance, texture, color, properties and instructions. Don't fret just yet if you're a die hard Huile de Palme fan, you may like this made over oil even more because its moisturizing properties have been enhance with the Copra and Mongongo Oils.
What is Copra oil? Copra is extracted from the white flesh of coconut. It's soothing and moisturizing properties will beautify your hair.
What is Mongongo Oil? Mongongo is obtained by the cold pressing of nuts that come from the Mongongo tree found in Southern Africa. The nut is rich in fat and contains many nutrients.
Personally, I loved the Palm Oil, but I respect what Leonor Greyl is doing. If you do love the Palm Oil GBS The Beauty Store still has some in stock. However, it is going away so the last few bottles of treasured oil are going fast! Watch out for my next blog post about when the new, reincarnated Huile de Palme arrives at GBS as the new and improved Huile de Leonor Greyl. Can't wait to get my hands on a bottle!
